Barring last-minute hitches, the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) will relocate to its office building located at the National Assembly Complex by the first week of November 2025. The Executive Chairman of NASC, Chief Saviour Enyiekere, Ph.D., hinted at this during an inspection visit to the project site. This was the first official visit of the 6th NASC to the site. The Executive Chairman, accompanied by Honorable Commissioners and Management, assessed the progress of work on the project site. He expressed joy and satisfaction with the pace of work by the project contractors, commending the quality of work done so far.

He said, “With this pace and high quality of work, I’m optimistic that we will move into this building as early as the first week of November this year.” The Managing Director of the Construction Company, Strabic Construction Ltd., Mr. Lekan Adebiyi, and the Project Director, Arch. Ademo Adewale, conducted Dr. Enyiekere and his team around the four-story edifice. They explained that the building would be delivered to the Commission by October, with the project currently at about 85% completion stage. The state-of-the-art edifice comprises office spaces for the Executive Chairman, Honorable Commissioners, Management, and Staff of the Commission, a 150-capacity suspended auditorium, underground car park, health facility, recreational area, and prayer rooms.

The Chairman urged the committee overseeing the project to expedite efforts to meet the November timeline. The NASC Office Project was initiated by Engr. Ahmed Aliyu Dogondaji’s 3rd NASC but couldn’t take off until the 5th NASC started the construction and took the project to about 80% completion stage. When completed, the complex will not only provide conducive office accommodation for Members, Management, and staff of the Commission but also save millions of Naira paid annually for rent by the Commission.
