Nigerian music superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has showered glowing praises on Akwa Ibom State, describing its infrastructural facilities as being on par with those found in the United States.
Speaking during a joint courtesy visit to the Senate President, Distinguished Senator Godswill Akpabio, and Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, Davido expressed admiration for the state’s rapid infrastructural renaissance and hospitality.

“The facilities in Akwa Ibom State are comparable to what we have seen in the United States.
“This state has everything we need. I look forward to eating Afang soup,” Davido said with enthusiasm.
The award-winning artist, who is in the state for a series of engagements, commended both the Senate President and Governor Eno for their efforts in promoting Akwa Ibom as a hub of peace, tourism, and development.
Davido’s remarks have since generated excitement among fans and residents, who see his endorsement as a major boost to the state’s growing reputation as a destination for entertainment and investment.
Governor Eno and Senator Akpabio, in response, appreciated the music icon for his kind words and assured him of Akwa Ibom’s readiness to host top-tier national and international events.
Davido’s visit further underscores Akwa Ibom’s emergence as one of Nigeria’s most dynamic and progressive states, combining culture, hospitality, and infrastructure in ways that continue to attract global attention.
