Sen. Aniekan Bassey Mobilizes Uruan Support for Tinubu, Gov. Umo Eno and APC

A massive wave of political mobilisation swept through Uruan at the weekend as the Senator representing Akwa Ibom North-East, Senator Aniekan Bassey, urged the people to close ranks and support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Umo Eno, and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking at a gathering of stakeholders, party loyalists and new entrants during the Statewide APC Home-Going Weekend at the Council Secretariat, Idu Uruan, Senator Bassey praised Governor Umo Eno for what he called all-inclusive governance and his commitment to reviving previously abandoned projects across the state.

He encouraged citizens to take advantage of the ongoing voter registration and APC membership drive, stressing that the future of Akwa Ibom depends on active civic participation.

“Governor Umo Eno’s performance is sterling, and we will reciprocate by canvassing across all wards and units to ensure he finishes strong in 2031,” Senator Bassey declared, receiving loud applause from the audience.

Reaffirming his belief in unity as the backbone of political success and sustainable development, the Senator urged the people of Uruan to consolidate alliances, strengthen party structures, and work collectively for lasting progress.

The gathering also featured goodwill messages from prominent political figures, including the Chairman of Uruan Local Government Council, Hon. (Surv.) Iniobong Ekpenyong; Member representing Uruan State Constituency, Hon. (Mrs.) Itoro Etim; Political Adviser to the Governor, Prince Godwin Ntukudeh; Chairman of the Internal Revenue Board, Mr. Okon Okon; APC Uruan Chapter Chairman, Hon. Ekong Etim; and Hon. Kufre Etuk, among others. They commended the APC’s renewed direction and Senator Bassey’s strengthening influence.

One of the day’s major highlights was the unveiling of the 3,000-seater Senator Aniekan Bassey Hall, performed by Hon. Iniobong Ekpenyong. The project was celebrated as a testament to the Senator’s expanding political footprint and continued investment in community development.

The event recorded an impressive turnout, with stakeholders and new party members pledging unwavering support for the APC’s revitalised movement.
