Prayer Summit: LOGLA Seeks Divine Shield, Long-Term Political Breakthrough for Senate President Akpabio
A faith-based organisation, Light and Oneness for Good Leadership Association (LOGLA), has held a special intercessory prayer summit in Ikot Ekpene, calling for divine protection, vibrant health and a sustainable political future for Senate President, Godswill Obot Akpabio.
The event, which took place at the Senatorial District Office in Ikot Ekpene, drew members and coordinators of the association from across Akwa Ibom State and beyond.
Speaking during the summit, President of LOGLA, Pastor Imohowo Udo Andrew, said the gathering was a direct response to a divine instruction he received during a period of routine fasting and intercessions for Nigeria and its leaders, which began on October 1, 2024.
Pastor Andrew said Senator Akpabio was spiritually revealed to him as “a man of destiny,” adding that the prayer session was aimed at securing God’s will for the Senate President.
“This implies that there is the will of God in Godswill. The Lord directed me to fast and pray for the sustenance and manifestation of that destiny. That is why we organised these prayers in support of Senator Akpabio,” he said.
The cleric expressed confidence that the prayers “will conquer all evil machinations” against the Senate President.
He also disclosed that LOGLA, a network of prayer intercessors spread across the 31 local government areas of Akwa Ibom State with national coordinators, has consistently held voluntary prayers for the Senate President and other national leaders.

He noted that the group has received prophetic assurances that Akpabio’s political journey would continue to flourish for eight years as Senate President and beyond.
Drawing parallels from scripture, Pastor Andrew said betrayal is often part of the journey of great leaders.
“Jesus was slapped by a blind man He healed. Being challenged by those he helped does not diminish God’s plan for Akpabio,” he stated.
The midweek summit, themed “No Weapon Fashioned Against Senator Godswill Akpabio Shall Prosper,” featured intensive prayers for divine protection, wisdom, long life and strengthened leadership for both the Senate President and the nation.
LOGLA also urged Nigerians to pray for President Bola Tinubu and leaders at all levels of government, while supporting ongoing efforts to stabilise the economy, enhance security and expand job opportunities.
Pastor Andrew reaffirmed the group’s commitment to sustained intercessory prayers, stating that “God perfects the plans of men, and the affairs of nations.”
