KADUNA – A dramatic and inspiring moment happened at the APC secretariat in Kaduna at the weekend, when a physically diminutive but determined aspirant stunned party officials to formally submit his nomination documents to contest for a seat in the Kaduna State House of Assembly.

The 30-year-old aspirant, Muhammad Sadis Buba, arrived the party headquarters dressed in a neatly tailored light-blue traditional attire, confidently carrying documents almost the size of his frame.

Witnesses said, the atmosphere at the secretariat instantly shifted from routine administrative activity to curiosity, and admiration as the aspirant approached the registration desk with remarkable confidence.

Party officials reportedly expressed surprise at his youthful appearance and definitive height, with one official openly asking his age during the verification process. Without hesitation, the aspirant calmly replied: “I am 30 years old.”

The response reportedly drew smiles and murmurs across the hall, but the candidate remained composed, insisting that his mission was driven by service to humanity rather than personal ambition.

“It is not about me; it is about the people. God has called me to serve, and I am ready to serve,” he declared.

Despite his physical stature, the aspirant reportedly impressed officials with complete documentation and verified credentials, including his academic qualifications and nomination papers.

Party officials were said to have commended the thoroughness of his submission as every required document and signature was found intact.

The atmosphere later turned emotional as applause erupted within the hall after he completed the registration process, a gesture many interpreted as recognition of courage, determination and resilience against societal stereotypes.

Speaking with journalists shortly after the exercise, the aspirant dismissed suggestions that rival contenders should step down for him.

“Why should anyone step down? Politics is a contest. Let the people decide who truly represents them,” he said.

He further maintained that his ambition was inspired by popular demand and a personal conviction to serve the people faithfully.

“I did not call myself. The people called me, and when the people call, you must answer,” he stated.

As he exited the venue alongside supporters and admirers, the aspirant left behind a powerful message that leadership is ultimately defined not by physical appearance, but by courage, ideas, competence and the determination to make a difference.
