NUNG AKPA IME RESIDENT CALLS FOR ROAD INTERVENTION, RAISING FLOOD CONCERNS IN UYO

Residents of Nung Akpa Ime Street in Uyo have appealed to the government to address infrastructure challenges in the community, particularly the poor state of roads and inadequate drainage facilities.

Speaking with Uyo infomedia News, a resident, Harry Udoh, expressed concern over the condition of the roads and called for urgent government intervention to rehabilitate the affected areas and provide functional drainage systems.

Udoh said several sections of the roads are washed away by heavy rainfall and flooding, making movement difficult for residents, particularly during the rainy season.

He also expressed dissatisfaction with what he described as inadequate government attention to the community’s infrastructure needs, appealing to the state government to intervene and provide relief to residents.
