Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has celebrated celebrity chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey, popularly known as Hilda Baci, for her audacious attempt at yet another Guinness World Record, cooking the largest pot of Nigerian jollof rice.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Ekerete Udoh, Governor Eno described Hilda Baci’s latest culinary feat as a bold demonstration of the Akwa Ibom spirit of courage, innovation, and resilience.
“On behalf of the Government and people of Akwa Ibom State, I celebrate you on your bold Guinness World Record attempt, this time by cooking the ‘largest pot of Nigerian jollof rice,’ Governor Eno said.
He further noted that Hilda’s relentless pursuit of global recognition reflects the State’s values of excellence and determination.
“Your success exemplifies the Akwa Ibom Spirit of resilience, creativity, industry, unbridled passion for excellence and indomitable ‘can-do’ mindset.
“May your continuous push to conquer every imaginable height in your chosen vocation, inspire others especially our youths, to dream more, dare more and drive more for success,” he added.
The Governor lauded Hilda as not just an Akwa Ibom daughter but a symbol of national and international pride.
“Congratulations once again daughter of the world, daughter of Nigeria and daughter of Akwa Ibom State,” he declared.
With this endorsement, Governor Eno underscored his administration’s commitment to celebrating homegrown talents who project Akwa Ibom positively on the global stage.
