Today, Saturday, 23 August 2025, Governor Umo Eno, Ph.D., draws the curtain on a statewide leadership tour that has taken him across federal constituencies, engaging communities, presenting his record, and sharing his vision for Akwa Ibom’s future. The journey concludes where it all began, at Etinan Federal Constituency; with a grand homecoming event at the Nsit Ubium Local Government Council.
For the Governor, it is more than a ceremonial return. Etinan Federal Constituency, comprising Etinan, Nsit Ibom and Nsit Ubium LGAs, is both birthplace and political springboard, the soil on which his career first took root. It is here, perhaps more than anywhere else, that the Arise Agenda is expected to resonate most strongly.
Across the state, Governor Eno has highlighted progress in healthcare, security, and economic empowerment. Supporters praise his emphasis on transparency and community-driven governance, describing him as a leader who has bridged the gap between government policy and grassroots needs. For many in Etinan Federal Constituency, continuity of leadership represents a chance to consolidate and expand these gains.
Today’s celebration is therefore both symbolic and significant. It marks a return to community and a reaffirmation of shared purpose. For Etinan Federal Constituency, to stand with Governor Eno is to embrace the promise of tomorrow, anchored on proven leadership and a commitment to sustained development.
“True leadership is measured not by the promises made, but by the lives transformed and the legacy left behind. In Etinan Federal Constituency, we see the proof that committed service and unwavering dedication can light the path to lasting progress.”
In welcoming their son, the people of Etinan are not only celebrating his achievements but also affirming their confidence in his vision for the future.
