Idahosa Hails Kwankwaso, Gov. Yussuf as ‘National Assets’, Urges Politicians to Emulate Their Leadership
The Vice-Presidential Candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Archbishop Isaac Idahosa, has described the party’s presidential candidate, Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yussuf, as invaluable political assets whose commitment to national development continues to inspire Nigerians.
Archbishop Idahosa made the remarks on Wednesday in Lagos while hosting members of the Southern Development Forum and a delegation of business leaders led by Pastor Bassey James, following his return from a visit to Kano.
The international preacher and politician lauded Kwankwaso and Governor Yussuf as “committed nationalists and strong allies” who have made immense contributions to Nigeria’s political stability and economic regeneration.
According to him, their passion for the welfare of ordinary citizens has endeared them to Nigerians at home and abroad. He urged other politicians to emulate their people-oriented approach to governance.

“These leaders play politics with a human face,” Idahosa said. “There is no political rift within the Kwankwasiyya Movement. It remains a united family under strong leadership that continues to drive the development of Kano State.”
The NNPP vice-presidential candidate also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for fostering political stability, national cohesion, and inclusivity — values he said are essential to building a stronger Nigeria.
“Nigeria’s growth and development will be greater with this ideological impetus,” he stated, charging both political and business leaders to keep championing the message of unity and national progress.
In his remarks, Pastor Bassey James, who led the visiting delegation, expressed optimism that a greater Nigeria is emerging, calling on citizens to support the government’s efforts at nation-building.
He also emphasized the need to expand the Southern Development Forum to include Nigerians from diverse backgrounds.
“There is a need to broaden the scope of this group to accommodate every interest, belief, and affiliation,” Pastor James said. “Only through unity can we create opportunities for all Nigerians, regardless of tribe or religion.”
