The leader of Igbos in the Diaspora, Chief Emeka Obielom, has declared his firm support for the re-election bid of Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, describing his first term as “a period of remarkable transformation and unprecedented development across the state.”Chief Obielom, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of GEONEFT LLC, an international oil and petroleum conglomerate, said his support for Governor Soludo’s second term stems from the governor’s outstanding performance in key areas such as infrastructure, human capital development, and security.
“Governor Soludo has redefined governance in Anambra. The state has witnessed visible progress in all local government areas. Human capital development is second to none, and peace now reigns because of the effective security measures put in place,” Obielom stated.
According to him, “the enthusiasm among the people for Soludo’s leadership is so strong that many residents are voluntarily funding projects under the administration’s Solution Agenda, taking ownership of the state’s development process.“The people are not just campaigning for Soludo; they are funding projects themselves. The Solution model has become a people’s movement. It’s the surest path to Anambra’s economic regeneration,” he added.
Chief Obielom further expressed optimism that Soludo’s second term would not only consolidate ongoing progress, but also transform the entire South East region.“Anambra is already creating new industries and building businesses that will uplift the entire South East. Soludo’s re-election will accelerate that momentum,” he said.
The Diaspora leader described himself as a “Solution Ambassador” and revealed that the Igbos in Diaspora Congress has thrown its full weight behind the governor’s re-election campaign.“I have mobilized our people globally to support a man who has created enduring programmes for our citizens. The Igbos in Diaspora are with Soludo, and we are united in this cause,” Obielom stated.
