The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has arrested three suspects in connection with a case of conspiracy, burglary and stealing in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area of the State.

The arrests followed a distress call received at about 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2026 from a resident identified, who alleged that her apartment had been burgled by unknown persons who made away with several valuable items.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Timfon John and made available to newsmen Online said, upon receipt of the complaint, operatives of the Command were immediately mobilised to the area.

“During the deployment and swift investigation, officers tracked down and arrested three suspects linked to the crime.

“Those in custody were identified as; Samuel Stanley (14), Emediong Thompson (19), and Falalu Hassan (27)”, she stated adding that, during interrogation, the suspects reportedly confessed to the crime and volunteered information that led to the stolen items”.

Items recovered include; one industrial sewing machine, one electric stabiliser/regulator, one DVD player, one stainless food pack and one clothes hanger.

The PPRO has said, the suspects would be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations, reaffirming the Command’s commitment to protecting lives and property.

She urged residents to remain vigilant and continue providing timely and credible information to assist the law enforcement agencies in tackling crime across the state.
