According to the command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Timfon John, “We are not aware of such detention for now.” This statement comes after reports emerged that Williams was arrested by police operatives on her way to a medical appointment, allegedly at the instance of Daniel Eyakenyi, the state Deputy Governor’s son.

A source close to Williams’ family described the detention as not only politically motivated but also an abuse of power, adding that the social media influencer, who is currently pregnant, was forcefully taken into custody on her way to the hospital.
