President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated three Nigerian students for making the nation proud by emerging global champions at the 2025 TeenEagle English Language Competition held in London, United Kingdom.
The celebrated trio; Nafisa Abdullahi Aminu, Rukayya Muhammad Fema, and Hadiza Kashim Kalli clinched top honours at the prestigious event that brought together brilliant young minds from across the world.
Seventeen year-old Nafisa was named the Overall Best in English Language Skills, while 15 year-old Rukayya emerged as the Top Debater.
Also, Hadiza earned the coveted Outstanding Talent Gold Award, further sealing Nigeria’s dominance at the international stage.
In a statement released on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu expressed immense pride in the students’ achievements, describing them as a reflection of Nigeria’s boundless potential.
“The accomplishments of these exceptional young ladies affirm that Nigeria’s future is indeed bright. Our youth continue to demonstrate that they are capable of competing and excelling on the global stage,” Tinubu stated.
He commended the schools and state governments responsible for nurturing the young talents, emphasizing that their success is a testament to the quality and promise of Nigeria’s educational institutions.
President Tinubu reiterated his administration’s commitment to advancing education as a pillar of national development, highlighting recent reforms including the launch of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) to eliminate financial barriers for students from indigent backgrounds.
He urged Nafisa, Rukayya, and Hadiza to remain focused in their academic pursuits and wished them continued success in all their future endeavours.
