Tinubu Confers National Honours, $100, 000 Each And Houses To Super Falcons Players

President Bola Tinubu on Monday conferred national honours on members of the Nigerian female national team, Super Falcons following their historic victory at the just concluded 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Rabat, Morocco on Saturday.

The Super Falcons is a meterioric rise from behind in the second half of the game sinked the Moroccan team by 3-2, to emerge champions, and threw Nigeria into frenzy and celebration galore.

In the euphoria of that frenzy, President Bola Tinubu could not hold back his joy hence, the Super Falcons were conferred with the national honours of the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).

The President while receiving the players and the technical team at the Villa commended them for their “indomitable spirit of resilience, determination and courage”, saying the victory couldn’t have been more historic.

The President, in rewarding the players doled out $100, 000 that is N154.5 million each, and an additional $50, 000 about (N77M) each to members of the technical crew.

In addition, President Tinubu gave the players three-bedroom flat each, and thanked them for the honour they have brought to the nation.
