A heartwarming scene unfolded at the Ministry of Information on Monday as Honourable Commissioner Rt. Hon. Aniekan Umanah was surprised with a birthday celebration organized by his family and the ministry’s staff. The surprise, led by his wife Mrs. Maureen Umanah and their children, Engr. Aniekan Umanah (Jnr) and Barr. Imaobong Umanah, brought a festive atmosphere to the Commissioner’s office, complete with cake, drinks, food, and wine.
The family showered Hon. Umanah with praise, lauding him as a loving husband, devoted father, and inspiring mentor. They also thanked the ministry’s staff for their support, which has enabled him to excel in his role. The Permanent Secretary, Akparawa James Edet, joined in the celebration, describing Hon. Umanah as a visionary leader whose professionalism and integrity have elevated the Ministry’s role in the state.
In response, Hon. Umanah expressed gratitude to his family and the ministry’s staff for the thoughtful gesture. He thanked His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, for the opportunity to serve and reiterated his commitment to implementing the administration’s ARISE Agenda. Hon.
