Attah Heads TGCG National Elders Council

UYO – Former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Obong Victor Attah, has been appointed Chairman of the National Council of Elders of ‘The Game Changer Group’ (TGCG), a socio-political organisation committed to promoting national unity, progressive governance and leadership development.

The appointment was formally conveyed to the elder statesman at his residence in Uyo midweek by a delegation of the organisation led by its Director-General, Alhaji Bolaji Raji.

Presenting the appointment letter, Raji described Attah as a visionary leader whose wealth of experience in public service and nation-building would significantly strengthen the organisation’s drive towards fostering responsible leadership and national cohesion.

According to him, the former governor’s wisdom, integrity and track record in governance make him well-suited to provide strategic direction to the council and support the organisation’s mission of nurturing future leaders.

“His vast experience and commitment to public service will be invaluable in advancing our objectives of national unity, progressive governance and leadership development,” Raji said.

Responding, Attah described the appointment as a call to service and pledged his readiness to contribute his experience towards the realisation of the group’s vision.

The former governor said he would leverage the platform to mentor emerging leaders and support initiatives aimed at strengthening democratic values and sustainable national development.

The National Council of Elders, according to the organisation, will serve as an advisory body, providing strategic guidance and counsel to the group as it pursues its programmes and national objectives.
