Akwa Ibom APC Hails Usoro Akpabio’s Appointment as Pioneer MD/CEO of SSDC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom State has congratulated Ms. Usoro Akpabio on her inauguration as the pioneer Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the South South Development Commission (SSDC).

In a statement signed by the State Chairman, Obong Stephen Leo Ntukekpo, the party described Ms. Akpabio’s elevation as a landmark achievement for Akwa Ibom and the entire South South region.

“Ms. Akpabio’s wealth of experience in private practice and public service places her in a strong position to provide visionary leadership in championing the much-needed development of the South South zone,” Ntukekpo noted.

The APC chairman commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the appointment, describing it as a bold demonstration of inclusivity and balanced representation in governance. He further emphasized that entrusting such a critical role to an illustrious daughter of Akwa Ibom was an expression of the President’s confidence in the state’s human capacity.

Ntukekpo also applauded the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, and Governor Umo Eno for their collaborative roles in ensuring Akwa Ibom’s representation at the center, stressing that their efforts continue to enhance the state’s national relevance.

He concluded by praying for divine guidance and wisdom for Ms. Akpabio in her new office, assuring her of the party’s support as she embarks on the historic task of driving development in the South South region.

With Ms. Akpabio at the helm of the SSDC, the APC expressed optimism that the region is set to experience a new era of progress and transformation.
