Tehran — A senior Iranian official has issued a stark warning, declaring that Iran will enter into direct conflict with the United States if Israel carries out another military strike against the Islamic Republic.
The statement came on Sunday from a former chief commander of Iran’s powerful Revolutionary Guard, underscoring the escalating tensions in the region.
He emphasized that any renewed aggression by Israel would not go unanswered, and would trigger a broader confrontation involving U.S. forces.
“Iran will not remain silent if attacked again. Any further military action by Israel will be met with a decisive and direct response not just against Israel, but against its backers, including the United States,” the official said during a televised address.
This latest warning follows a series of intensified military and diplomatic flashpoints in the region, fueling concerns over the potential for a wider war.
Washington has yet to respond formally to the remarks, as the situation remains fluid as global powers call for restraint.
