Manchester United have made their move for Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Carlos Baleba, with an official €75m package submitted to the Seagulls this morning, transfer expert David Ornstein reports.
The initial proposal was rejected by Brighton, but United are not backing down. According to Ornstein, the Red Devils are already preparing a fresh bid and hope to close the deal within the next 24 to 48 hours to bring the 21-year-old Cameroonian to Old Trafford.
United’s pursuit of Baleba has been gathering pace all summer, and the latest development signals the club are ready to get serious and negotiations will intensify quickly.
Baleba, who joined Brighton from Lille in 2023, has impressed in the Premier League with his energy, ball-winning and ability to drive forward from midfield. He is seen at Old Trafford as the long-term solution to United’s midfield problems.
