PANDEF Youth Leaders Hail Akpabio for Appointing Michael Ekpo as Senior Legislative Aide

The leadership of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) Youth Wing has expressed profound appreciation to the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, for appointing Mr. Michael Ekpo, one of its pioneering youth leaders, as a Senior Legislative Aide.

In a letter jointly signed by Chief (Engr.) Donben Douyegha, PANDEF National Youth Leader, and Sane Peter Ekanakeranye Darah, JP, Secretary of the PANDEF Youth Leaders, the group described the appointment as both commendable and reflective of Akpabio’s commitment to excellence and national development.

The youth leaders applauded the Senate President for recognising Mr. Ekpo’s long-standing contributions, as a founding member of PANDEF, as well as his reputation as an accomplished media professional, public speaker, and writer.

According to the statement, “Ekpo’s elevation to the position of Senior Legislative Aide underscores Senator Akpabio’s dedication to the people of Nigeria”, and his willingness to identify and empower individuals with proven capacity and integrity.

The group further noted that they feel honoured by the development and extended their prayers for God’s continued guidance, protection, and blessings upon the Senate President in the discharge of his duties.

The statement concluded with renewed assurances of PANDEF Youth Wing’s readiness to continue supporting initiatives that promote peace, development, and inclusion in the Niger Delta and the nation at large.

Before his new appointment, Mr. Ekpo was the Executive Director of The Uyo Infomedia Limited; a Public Relations and Digital Media outfit in Akwa-Cross region.

Mr. Ekpo, who is also a staunch member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, will bring his energy and passion to bear in his new portfolio.
