PDP Suspends Four Top Officers After Court Halts National Convention

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has suspended four of its top national officers for one month following a court ruling that stopped the party’s planned national convention.

Those affected are the National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade; National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu; Deputy Legal Adviser, Okechukwu Osuoha; and National Organizing Secretary, Umaru Bature.

According to the NWC, the suspension is a disciplinary measure pending the outcome of investigations into their roles in matters related to the halted convention. The recent court decision has deepened internal tensions within the PDP, raising concerns about the party’s preparedness ahead of upcoming political engagements.

Party officials, however, insist that efforts are ongoing to resolve the crisis and restore unity within the ranks
