Tinubu to Attend National Assembly’s Joint Sitting as Special Guest on Democracy Day

The National Assembly will hold a special joint sitting on Democracy Day, June 12, with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu attending as Special Guest of Honour. The event, themed “26 Years of Democracy: Renewing Our Commitment to National Development,” will feature goodwill messages and the conferment of National Honours on select legislators.

The joint sitting aims to underscore the National Assembly’s role in safeguarding democratic values and advancing national development. The House of Representatives urges Nigerians to reflect on the country’s democratic journey and renew their commitment to building a more inclusive and prosperous nation.
